Mission Statement 

boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities. 



Goals

Serve the Community: Develop a sense of social responsibility. 

Promote Personal Growth: Build self-esteem and a giving spirit.

Strengthen Family Relationships: Deepen bonds with parents by working together in boys team charity.

Develop Leadership Skills: Cultivate respect and an appreciation of others by working as a team, developing leadership skills, and creating friendships.

Provide Educational Opportunities: Provide young men with experiences that foster their community responsibilities and goals.

 



Facts & Requirements
 

    • Our annual calendar year is May 1 through April 30.

    • Prospective Members apply to join btc during the annual Prospective Member Drive in the Spring of their 6th through 11th grade year.  Boys are assigned to Teams based on their high school graduation year (i.e., Class of 2030).  For the Cactus league, members must live in the 85255, 85259, or 85260 zip codes to apply for membership.

    • For the 2024-2025 calendar year, the Prospective Member Drive starts on Monday, March 4, 2024 and ends on Monday, March 11, 2024.  If interested, please complete the Prospective Member Application (see tab above) during that time.  Please note that prospective members must be sponsored by a current btc member in good standing.  If you do not have a sponsor, please use the Contact Us form to let us know so we can help you find one.

    • Boys are known as TeamMates and parents are known as Coaches.

    • There are approximately 30 boys in each class (Team) with vacancies filled during the annual Prospective (New) Member Drive by random draw as they are available.

    • One Coach from each family is required to serve in a leadership role for at least two years during their btc tenure.

    • btc has three (3) General Membership Meetings per year (May, September, and January) that both TeamMates and Coaches attend.  There are additional Team Meetings (grade level) throughout the year specifically for TeamMates. 

    • Philanthropy Hours are earned while serving at one of our btc Cactus League approved philanthropies.  League Hours are earned by attending General Membership Meetings, Team Meetings (grade level), committee meetings, etc. throughout the year.

    • Hours Requirements (minimum per year):

           Grades 7-9 -- TeamMates and Coaches:
                15 Philanthropy Hours
                  6 League Hours

           Grades 10-12 -- TeamMates and Coaches:
                 
      10 Philanthropy Hours
                   6 League Hours

    • Financial Requirements (per year):

  TeamMate plus one or two Coaches.........$145 

  Each Additional TeamMate......................$ 50
 



All Prospective Members must be sponsored by a current btc Member in good standing.

All Prospective Member applicants are sorted by their appropriate class.  If there are more applicants than space available in a class, then applicants will be selected by random draw to fill the class or, if necessary, placed on a waitlist.  Prospective Member applicants and their Sponsors will be contacted by the VP of Membership following the draw.

Legacies (sibblings of current or graduated members) are automatically granted membership.
